What happened: Jayson Tatum drove left into open space to convert the decisive overtime buzzer-beater, sealing a 125-124 victory for the Boston Celtics. He finished the contest with 40 points and eight assists to secure the one-point win.

Why it matters: The victory moves the Celtics to 3-1 early in the 2026-27 regular season rather than dropping Boston to .500 through four games. Tatum's late-clock creation continues to anchor the team's half-court offense in single-possession finishes.

What to watch: Boston carries its 3-1 record into the next leg of the early-season slate as Tatum builds on his 40-point performance.
