What happened: University of Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy remains on the board late into the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The prospect, noted for elite athletic testing, has not been selected despite high marks. Reactions highlight surprise at his slide, with some analysts ranking him outside the top 100.

Why it matters: McCoy's availability offers value for teams picking late in Round 2, potentially yielding a steal for depth at cornerback. His fall bucks media projections, impacting draft strategy for contenders needing secondary help. Could shift late-round pick priorities amid ongoing trades.

What to watch: Watch picks from No. 58 onward, including Browns at No. 58 after trade-up, for McCoy's potential selection.
