What happened: The Seattle Seahawks signed quarterback Adrian Martinez to their practice squad on Wednesday. Martinez previously spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets before drawing free-agent interest this week.

Why it matters: Seattle adds depth under center with a dual-threat passer who previously earned MVP honors in the UFL. The move takes Martinez off the market after the Ravens worked out the former UFL MVP on Tuesday while assessing their own depth needs at quarterback.

What to watch: Martinez will begin running scout-team reps during practice this week. Seattle will evaluate his integration as they finalize game-week preparations.
