What happened: Heated confrontations broke out on the turf in Columbia between visiting Volunteers players and fans immediately after South Carolina upset Tennessee. Gamecocks supporters poured onto the field at the final whistle, swarming quarterback LaNorris Sellers in celebration while altercations involving Telander and spectators unfolded nearby.

Why it matters: The loss stalls momentum for a Tennessee team that South Carolina hosted coming off a bye week. Physical altercations between visiting rosters and spectators during field rushes typically trigger SEC compliance reviews and institutional fines under conference security policy.

What to watch: Conference officials and both athletic departments will review the postgame scuffles for potential SEC fines and disciplinary action.
