What happened: Oklahoma City and San Antonio met in the 9:30 p.m. ET window to close NBC's three-game opening-night slate. San Antonio trimmed the gap to seven in the third quarter behind a Castle layup and a subsequent defensive stop.

Why it matters: The meeting opens the 2026-27 regular season for both clubs on a national broadcast window. A third-quarter response keeps San Antonio within striking distance entering the finish.

What to watch: The fourth quarter decides the finale with the margin at seven.
