What happened: ProFootballRumors grouped the 49ers, Buccaneers, Steelers, Bills and Rams in early deadline speculation. The roundup lists Mack, Godwin and Bennett among the names circulating.

Why it matters: Deadline positioning shapes roster depth for the stretch run, separating early buyers from sellers. San Francisco already set one boundary, as the 49ers steer clear of a big receiver move while Mike Evans is evaluated after a 23-17 final.

What to watch: Watch practice participation reports and any team-confirmed talks for clarity before the deadline.
