What happened: Tennessee released defensive lineman Jordan Elliott. The move followed the team's review of an Oct. 15 incident at its facility.

Why it matters: The departure opens a spot on Tennessee's interior defensive front during the regular season. Elliott entered the league as a 2020 third-round pick and played 16 games last season.

By the numbers: 31 tackles in 16 games with San Francisco in 2025. Drafted 88th overall out of Missouri in 2020.

What to watch: Tennessee's next transaction on the defensive line will show how it fills the vacancy.
