What happened: Tennessee traded defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to Chicago for two first-round picks. The Titans had signed him to a three-year, $105 million contract earlier this year, and Josina Anderson said that in June they would have ruled out trading the player they called a "pillar.

Why it matters: The deal strips a 2019 first-round pick from a Titans team that is 1-6 and coming off a 27-24 loss to Cleveland. The Jets, 2-5 and in seed 11, have said they will not trade Garrett Wilson before the deadline, so the market is moving around them.

By the numbers: Simmons, drafted 19th overall out of Mississippi State in 2019, had 67 tackles and 11 sacks in 15 games in 2025. Tennessee is 1-6 and holds seed 15; the Jets are 2-5 after a 28-25 loss to Miami.

What to watch: The NFL trade window closes Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. ET.
