What happened: Tom Pelissero says Tennessee is sending its All-Pro defensive tackle to Chicago. The Bears had been seeking roster help ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.

Why it matters: Chicago adds an interior defender during a 5-2 start. The move would part 1-6 Tennessee from a player it made the NFL's highest-paid defensive tackle four months ago.

By the numbers: Chicago is 5-2 with two straight wins and holds the No. 5 seed. Tennessee is 1-6 and holds the No. 15 seed.

What to watch: The trade terms and the defender's first availability for Chicago are the next developments.
