What happened: The Toronto Blue Jays issued a "voting checkpoint" on Thursday, urging fans to submit their ballots as the 2026 MLB All-Star voting enters its critical final phase. The team confirmed that six players are currently positioned as finalists, though the standings remain volatile as league-wide competition intensifies.

Why it matters: Securing All-Star starts is a vital metric for franchise marketability and fan engagement. This surge in Toronto follows similar voting campaigns across the league, including the St. Louis Cardinals' push to capitalize on recent individual performance streaks. For the Blue Jays, a strong showing in the Midsummer Classic would validate their core roster's standing in the American League.

What to watch: Fans are permitted to vote up to five times per day until the ballot closes. The Mariners and Orioles will conclude their series tomorrow with a final matchup in Seattle.
