What happened: Linebacker Trenton Simpson secured his first career NFL interception and presented the milestone football to his father, an Army Ranger. The takeaway represents the first interception of Simpson's professional career following his selection in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Why it matters: The milestone solidifies Simpson's expanding defensive role after stepping into regular starting duties at inside linebacker. His production has anchored the defensive interior as Baltimore manages its rotation through the midpoint of the 2026 regular season.

What to watch: Simpson and the defense look to sustain their interior disruption as Baltimore enters the second half of the 2026 schedule.
