What happened: Linebacker Trenton Simpson, who emphasized stacking consecutive outings after a clean film review on Wednesday, stopped by The Lounge on Thursday to assess his early 2026 regular-season campaign. He detailed his routine of arriving at the facility at 6 a.m. to study tape alongside his position coach.

Why it matters: Selected 86th overall in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Simpson recorded 66 tackles and 2.5 sacks across all 17 regular-season games in 2025, per ESPN as of Sept. 29, 2026. Translating early-morning preparation into week-to-week consistency solidifies his role in the linebacker rotation.

What to watch: Simpson returns to home action on Sunday afternoon as the Week 7 regular-season schedule continues.
