What happened: President Donald Trump confirmed he will attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday at Madison Square Garden. Addressing the record-breaking ticket prices for the Knicks' return to the championship round, the President suggested that fans who cannot afford the high cost should simply watch the game on television. He noted that watching from home is "semi-free."

Why it matters: The Knicks currently hold a 2-0 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs after narrow victories in the opening games. Trump will attend Game 3 at Madison Square Garden, marking the first time a sitting U.S. president will attend an NBA Finals game. Prices for the historic matchup at MSG have seen secondary market seats exceed $9,000.

What to watch: Game 3 tips off Monday, June 8, at 8:30 PM ET at Madison Square Garden.
