From @TSN1200 - @TSNJR, @TSNSteveLloyd, and @TSNHammer look back at the timing of Brady Tkachuk asking for a trade out: Via @TSNHockey on X

What happened: Brady Tkachuk asked for a trade out of Ottawa. TSN 1200 hosts JR, Steve Lloyd and Hammer revisited when that request came during the Senators week.

Why it matters: The exit left Ottawa's captaincy open, with Sanderson entering the mix as a successor. Ottawa has since committed to Travis Green with a multi-year extension covering the entire coaching staff.

What to watch: Ottawa continues the 2026-27 regular season without Tkachuk on the roster. The next step is settling the captaincy and the lineup shape under the extended staff.
