What happened: Tyrese Haliburton has been ruled out with a left hamstring strain for Sunday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Ben Sheppard will also miss the matchup following left meniscus surgery, while Johnny Furphy remains out. Aaron Nesmith is listed as probable with a hamstring issue, and Obi Toppin is questionable with back soreness.

Why it matters: Haliburton's absence removes an All-Star playmaker from the starting lineup, shifting primary creation duties to the secondary ball-handlers. Missing multiple rotation players also tests roster depth across the wings, especially with Toppin's status uncertain.

What to watch: Active status updates for Toppin and Nesmith will be determined closer to tipoff following pregame warmups.
