What happened: Philadelphia highlighted guard Tyrese Maxey ahead of Saturday's road game against the Charlotte Hornets. Maxey has opened the 2026-27 regular season as the central offensive focal point for the roster.

Why it matters: Maxey previously secured Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors on Oct. 26 following an efficient scoring run. Sustaining that high-volume production remains critical as Philadelphia manages its early-season rotation.

What to watch: Philadelphia tips off against the Charlotte Hornets at 6:00 PM ET on Saturday.
