What happened: Starting Jenkins with Barnett sidelined again, unranked UCF recovered a blocked third-down kick on the way to a double-overtime victory over second-ranked BYU. Knights head coach Scott Frost called the finish the weirdest ending to a game he had ever seen.

Why it matters: The loss halts BYU's momentum immediately after the Cougars climbed to No. 2 by stunning Notre Dame in Provo. BYU opened as a for the Week 8 regular-season matchup before dropping the extra-session decision, dealing a setback to its national positioning.

What to watch: Both programs turn to their next 2026 regular-season matchups as BYU looks to rebound in the national rankings and UCF builds on the overtime victory.
