What happened: The steal came in October preseason action ahead of the 2026-27 season. The same Franz Wagner who scored 10 early against Cleveland reacted with visible emotion after taking the ball from Cleveland's September addition.

Why it matters: The sequence gave Wagner a live rep against a veteran ballhandler now in Cleveland. Early defensive plays help set rotation expectations before opening night.

What to watch: Both sides continue preseason with opening-night roles still to be settled.
