What happened: Atlanta manager Walt Weiss treated the weather as a non-issue ahead of Saturday's game, saying, "Remember, we're from Atlanta." Sweltering heat is in the forecast for first pitch, putting weather on the pregame checklist alongside lineup and pitching decisions.

Why it matters: Hot conditions can shape hydration plans, mound visits and bullpen pacing even in a short October game. Atlanta is opening the NLDS after Weiss cast the Dodgers as the October hurdle, so any extra wear matters quickly in a condensed series.

What to watch: Watch for any changes to pregame routines once lineups and the pitching plan are set. Early inning tempo and bullpen usage will show whether the heat stays secondary or becomes part of the game plan.
