What happened: ESPN's Ed Werder noted that Derrick Henry and Tony Pollard are the only two players to rush for 1,000 yards in each of the past four seasons. Werder called Pollard an exceptional runner and receiver and an outstanding teammate.

Why it matters: Four straight 1,000-yard seasons is a rare mark of durability and production for running backs, and it puts Pollard, a 2019 fourth-round pick out of Memphis, alongside Henry, a 2016 second-round pick out of Alabama.

By the numbers: Pollard has 133 carries for 595 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2026 through 8 games. Henry has 175 carries for 689 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2026 through 9 games.

What to watch: Pollard's yardage total this season is the number to track as he looks to extend the streak to a fifth year.
