What happened: Emergency personnel treated MicahJo Barnett on the sideline and transported him to a hospital. William Jewell was playing Fort Lewis College in Liberty, Missouri.

Why it matters: The college made counseling and chaplain services available to students and staff. Hundreds gathered on campus Saturday night for a candlelight vigil.

By the numbers: Barnett had six carries for 30 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown with 5:15 left in the first quarter. Play stopped with 4:32 remaining and William Jewell leading 7-0.
