What happened: Seattle pointed to Wilson in a larger backfield role in his fourth season out of Fort Valley State. Emmanwori, the 35th pick in 2025 out of South Carolina, factored back into the defensive mix. Shaheed, in his fifth season out of Weber State, provided the downfield strike.

Why it matters: Wilson production steadies the rotation and eases the load on the starters. Emmanwori versatility expands blitz and coverage packages while Shaheed speed forces safeties deeper.

By the numbers: Wilson ran 125 times for 496 yards and 3 touchdowns in 17 games in 2025. Emmanwori made 81 tackles with 2.5 sacks and 1 interception in 14 games in 2025. Shaheed caught 59 passes for 687 yards and 2 touchdowns in 18 games in 2025 split between the Saints and Seattle.

What to watch: Watch snap shares and personnel use for all three in the next game.
