What happened: Angel Reese, Rhyne Howard and Gabby Williams earned First Team honors. Jordin Canada, Veronica Burton and Kiah Stokes earned Second Team honors.

Why it matters: Reese paired Defensive Player of the Year honors with a Finals run as the second-youngest to do so. Atlanta carries three honorees into a Finals chase one win from its first berth since 2013.

What to watch: The Finals matchup will determine how far that defensive core carries Atlanta.
