What happened: Los Angeles has 16 players and would need significant roster consolidation before making a deal. Jericho Sims is under contract for $2.8 million in 2026-27 after exercising his player option.

Why it matters: Walker Kessler fills the starting vacancy, but the departures of Deandre Ayton and Jaxson Hayes left Los Angeles short on center depth. A continued pursuit of Jonathan Kuminga could push any backup-center move later in the offseason.

What to watch: Watch whether Los Angeles creates roster space or Milwaukee moves Sims before opening night.
