What happened: The idea follows Philadelphia's reported interest in unsigned restricted free agent Xhekaj and Montreal's prior connection to Ristolainen. Social reaction centered on whether Xhekaj could replace Ristolainen's physical role in Philadelphia.

Why it matters: Montreal would exchange a 25-year-old unsigned defenseman for a 31-year-old veteran entering the final season of his contract. Philadelphia would need to negotiate a new deal with Xhekaj after acquiring him, adding another cost to any swap.

What to watch: Watch whether Montreal resolves Xhekaj's contract or Philadelphia turns its reported interest into an offer before training camp.
