What happened: Yahoo NFL's Jacob Infante floated defensive tackles DeForest Buckner and Moro Ojomo, edge rusher Khalil Mack, and cornerback Riq Woolen as defensive trade options for the Chicago Bears ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline. Infante projected trade compensation at a 2027 second-round pick and 2028 third-round pick for Buckner, a 2027 third-round pick for Ojomo, and a 2027 fifth-round pick for Mack. FOX Chicago's Devan Kaney also noted Ojomo and Woolen, who signed a one-year, $15 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, as fits for Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

Why it matters: Following a 30-24 win over the New England Patriots in Week 7, the Bears hold the No. 5 seed in the NFC on a two-game winning streak after navigating an earlier absence by quarterback Caleb Williams. Acquiring the 35-year-old Mack from the winless Los Angeles Chargers (0-6) would reunite him with Chicago eight years after the club originally traded for him from the Las Vegas Raiders. Adding the 25-year-old Ojomo, who is currently listed as questionable on the injury ledger, would allow Chicago to pursue an extension ahead of 2027 free agency while giving Philadelphia a third-round pick a year ahead of the compensatory schedule.
