What happened: Yahoo Sports posted a 2026-27 trade outlook built around seven candidates. The timing falls in preseason while rosters remain unsettled before opening night.

Why it matters: Early lists shape which contracts and roster spots draw attention once games begin. A slow start or injury can quickly turn a preseason candidate into active discussions.

What to watch: Watch opening-week rotations and final cuts for signals on which situations gain traction.
