What happened: New York heads into its scheduled postseason opener with a rotation that remains intact, a rare bit of October stability for a contender. The game has not started yet.

Why it matters: Pitching continuity matters in October because clubs can be pushed into reshuffled starts or early bullpen coverage when plans break down. For the Yankees, a steady rotation keeps the setup straightforward before the opener begins.

What to watch: Watch how New York orders its starts once first pitch arrives and the postseason workload begins.
