What happened: The New York Yankees welcomed members of Covenant House to join Food Bank For NYC during this month's food distribution at Yankee Stadium on Thursday. Covenant House serves as New York City's largest provider for youth experiencing homelessness.

Why it matters: The event pairs the club's recurring stadium food drive with MLB's league-wide Spirit Day campaign opposing bullying against LGBTQ+ youth. It extends the Yankees' community outreach efforts in the Bronx as the organization transitions into its offseason schedule.

What to watch: Monthly food distributions with Food Bank For NYC at Yankee Stadium continue on a recurring basis.
