What happened: The New York Yankees announced that tonight's scheduled game has been delayed and will not start on time due to weather conditions. This follows the postponement of Saturday night's contest, which was rescheduled as part of a doubleheader after sustained rain in the area.

Why it matters: Persistent inclement weather has disrupted a critical series for the Yankees (37-25), who remain tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for the AL East lead. New York is currently shorthanded, with both captain Aaron Judge and catcher Austin Wells recently placed on the injured list.

What to watch: The teams will look to complete their series as weather permits, with stadium officials expected to provide further updates on the start time.
