What happened: Zach Neto crushed a solo home run in the eighth inning to tie the game 1-1. The blast came at the end of a 12-pitch at-bat.

Why it matters: The homer extends a stretch of high-leverage moments for Neto this month, a day after he turned a ricochet into a game-changing double play. Neto remains under team control for three seasons after 2026, keeping the Angels' focus on him amid trade chatter.

By the numbers: Neto drove in nine runs across a six-game span earlier this month, per his AL weekly award recognition on Aug. 26.

What to watch: Watch how the game plays out from the tie in the late innings.
