What happened: Elmore connected from three during NBA preseason action ahead of the 2026-27 season. The 30-year-old marked the basket by rubbing his bald head, the same gesture he previously explained as his signature celebration.

Why it matters: Reaching first NBA action at 30 marks a late arrival by league standards. Preseason openings double as auditions for end-of-roster roles entering the 2026-27 campaign.

What to watch: Further preseason outings will indicate whether the shooting holds in extended minutes.
