What happened: Defensive back Upton Stout also cleared a questionable designation stemming from a shoulder injury to suit up in Atlanta. Kirk joins the game-day lineup after drawing praise from tight end George Kittle during practice earlier this week.

Why it matters: San Francisco needs immediate reinforcements at wide receiver with Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel among six players ruled out on Friday, alongside defensive end Nick Bosa. The unbeaten 49ers are looking to protect the NFC's No. 1 seed and extend a six-game winning streak following their 23-17 victory over the Washington Commanders on Oct. 19.

What to watch: San Francisco and Atlanta kick off Sunday's Week 7 matchup with Kirk and Brandin Cooks available to handle targets in the thinned passing attack.
