What happened: New Orleans Saints wide receiver Barion Brown caught a 49-yard pass deep over the middle from quarterback Tyler Shough on first-and-10, advancing to the Pittsburgh 33-yard line before cornerback Jamel Dean made the tackle. Earlier in the opening quarter, Brown also fielded a 35-yard punt from Pittsburgh's Cameron Johnston on fourth-and-8 for a fair catch at the New Orleans 18-yard line.

Why it matters: The deep completion and punt-return assignment give the same Barion Brown who turned his sixth-round chance into early camp buzz a multi-phase role in the 2026 regular season. Brown's involvement follows an early-season stretch in which New Orleans ruled him and Christen Miller out against the Raiders on Sept. 26.

What to watch: New Orleans looks to capitalize on the drive in Pittsburgh territory as Sunday's regular-season matchup moves into the second quarter.
