What happened: The NBA revived Aaron Gordon's 2025 Emirates NBA Cup crossover-to-dunk sequence on Wednesday as Gordon turned 31. The play came from last season's in-season tournament and ended with a one-handed finish.

Why it matters: With the 2026-27 season still ahead, the resurfaced sequence keeps Gordon in the offseason spotlight. It follows a recent run of league highlight recognition for Gordon's No. 12 slot in the NBA's Top 100 plays of 2025-26.

By the numbers: Wire Report has logged four Aaron Gordon spotlight items since Aug. 30: a March no-look dime revisit, a No. 42 placement on Sept. 8, a No. 12 placement on Sept. 11 and his 31st birthday on Sept. 16.

What to watch: Watch for whether Gordon surfaces again as the Top 100 countdown closes and preseason coverage shifts toward 2026-27.
