Abrams shifts to second as Robert joins Orioles order

Three weekly lineup periods remain in the 2026 season

Wire Report IntelligenceUpdated Sep 41 min read

What happened: Baltimore claimed Luis Robert Jr. off waivers from the New York Mets. CJ Abrams moved to second base.

Why it matters: Robert's arrival is unlikely to create meaningful playing time for another fantasy-relevant Baltimore player. Abrams' position change could alter roster flexibility during the final weeks.

By the numbers: Robert hit third and fourth in his first two games with Baltimore.

What to watch: Watch where Robert bats in upcoming Orioles lineups and whether Abrams remains at second base.
