What happened: Head coach Aaron Glenn announced Friday that the New York Jets receiver is cleared for Sunday's game after practicing on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday. Mitchell remains listed as questionable on the official injury report despite moving to a full Friday workload.

Why it matters: Mitchell's return restores a perimeter target who previously missed Week 5 because of the finger ailment. New York enters the weekend looking to rebound from a 26-19 road loss to the New England Patriots on Oct. 18.

By the numbers: The Jets hold a 2-4 record and the 11th seed in the 2026 standings while carrying a one-game losing streak.

What to watch: Sunday's pregame inactive list will make Mitchell's active status official prior to kickoff.
