What happened: Sandy Alcantara logged his 110th career quality start, tying Ricky Nolasco for the most in Marlins The milestone also ties him for the seventh-most quality starts in MLB since his first one on Sept. 5, 2018.

Why it matters: The mark lands as Miami buys rather than sells at the deadline, with Rosenthal reporting the Marlins plan to keep Alcantara and add pieces instead of trading him. Alcantara remains Miami's workhorse as the club pushes for a wild-card spot.

What to watch: Alcantara takes the mound again as the Marlins continue their wild-card push.
