What happened: Francisco Lindor said he did not have words after being named this year's Roberto Clemente Award winner presented by Capital One. The selection delivers the league's annual community honor to Lindor.

Why it matters: The award stands as MLB's most prestigious individual honor for community work. The distinction places off-field leadership alongside on-field performance during postseason recognition.

What to watch: Lindor carries the honor into the offseason while postseason play continues.
