What happened: Speaking on ESPN NFL, Alex Smith said the Baltimore Ravens must prioritize quarterback Lamar Jackson's health for their Super Bowl ambitions rather than a single regular-season outing. "In order to do that, we gotta get Lamar healthy," Smith said while addressing Baltimore's bigger picture.

Why it matters: Smith's remarks echo earlier expectations setting a Super Bowl bar for the Ravens with a healthy Jackson. Keeping the franchise quarterback available for the postseason race remains central to Baltimore's championship ceiling.

What to watch: Baltimore's scheduled regular-season game against the Cincinnati Bengals has not started yet, with the score at 0-0.
