What happened: Analyst Lance Brozdowski evaluated free agent Teruaki Sato, drawing a stylistic parallel to Kansas City Royals slugger Jac Caglianone. Brozdowski highlighted Sato's aggressive swing rate and power potential as assets across multiple defensive positions.

Why it matters: Sato represents an international power bat capable of handling first base, third base, and corner outfield spots as teams address their lineups for the upcoming season. Comparing his offensive profile to Caglianone underscores front-office interest in left-handed sluggers with positional flexibility.

What to watch: Clubs will monitor Sato's market availability and formal posting timeline as the offseason begins.
