On the road to herstory 📈 Angel Reese is one game away from tying the WNBA record for the most double-doubles in a sing Via @WNBA on X

What happened: Reese recorded her 27th double-double earlier this week, the second-highest single-season total in league history. Thomas established the benchmark with 28 three years ago.

Why it matters: A 29th double-double would give Reese sole possession of the record. The pursuit follows her single-season rebounding record.

By the numbers: Reese has 27 double-doubles, one short of tying Thomas and two from claiming the record outright. She has recorded eight over her past 10 games.

What to watch: Reese's next game brings her first chance to reach 28.
