What happened: "That's my point guard, I love him to death and I'm happy he's here," Anthony Edwards said regarding new backcourt partner LaMelo Ball. Edwards dismissed questions about individual league rankings and emphasized his support for Minnesota's new floor general.

Why it matters: Establishing immediate backcourt chemistry between Edwards and Ball is central to the offensive ceiling for the Minnesota Timberwolves operating under second-apron roster constraints. Head coach Chris Finch has already credited Ball with lifting the team's camp demeanor during the preseason.

What to watch: Minnesota continues integrating its revamped starting backcourt as the preseason schedule concludes ahead of opening night.
