What happened: The Houston Astros acquired lefty-hitting minor league first baseman Cameron Sisneros from the Chicago Cubs in a swap of minor leaguers. In return, Houston sent right-hander Jayden Murray to Chicago. Sisneros was a 2024 draftee.

Why it matters: The move adds left-handed first-base depth to Houston's farm system. It also closes out Murray's two-season run in the Astros organization, redistributing minor league inventory between the two clubs.

By the numbers: Houston sits at 36-42 on the season, scoring 4.5 runs per game and allowing 5.1. The trade marks Murray's exit after two seasons in the organization.

What to watch: Watch where the Astros assign Sisneros and how he slots into their first-base depth chart in the minors.
