What happened: Athletics staff, broadcasters, and alumni gathered Wednesday morning to support the Las Vegas community alongside Three Square Food Bank. The volunteer event occurred during the team's high-profile series at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Why it matters: This initiative reinforces the Athletics commitment to Southern Nevada as they prepare for a permanent relocation to the Strip. The team currently holds a 32-35 record, placing them 3.5 games back in the AL West.

By the numbers: AL West Standings: 1. SEA (35-32), 2. TEX (32-33, 2.0 GB), 3. OAK (32-35, 3.5 GB). Team record in 2026 Las Vegas series: 1-1.

What to watch: The A's conclude their three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
