What happened: The University of Wisconsin scheduled a Wednesday news conference at the Kohl Center for a major Badger Hockey announcement with TEG Sport. A stadium district board approved an event agreement that refunds half of the 10% ticket-tax revenue to a promoter.

Why it matters: The Green Bay Gamblers moved a Feb. 20 game at the Resch Center to March 17, clearing a date that avoids overlap with major Lambeau events. Green Bay Packers leadership has pursued more non-football events at the stadium.

By the numbers: Wisconsin's men beat Ohio State 4-2 in the 2006 Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic at Lambeau Field before 40,890 fans.

What to watch: Details from Wisconsin's Wednesday announcement should clarify the 2027 event, opponent and date.
