What happened: Colorado Rapids and Australia international Lucas Herrington, 18, has drawn European interest, with Barcelona's opening bid turned down. Liverpool are among the clubs that have sent scouts to watch the center back. The Rapids are under no pressure to sell.

Why it matters: A move would test the MLS market for young center backs and signal Colorado's pull as a developer of talent. Holding firm gives the Rapids leverage on price and timing rather than parting with a teenager already valued at the top of his position.

What to watch: Watch whether Barcelona return with an improved offer or Liverpool move from scouting to a formal bid, and how firmly the Rapids hold their valuation.
