What happened: Cornerback Muhammad sets the outside edge to cut off the ball while safety Lewis runs the alley against the perimeter screen, per Matt Bowen. Slot cornerback Gordon and linebacker Bush rally in pursuit from the inside to close down the play.

Why it matters: Coordinated perimeter tackling out of blitz looks prevents offenses from countering pressure with quick boundary throws. The secondary's execution comes after Bears defensive back Malik Muhammad was previously listed as doubtful with a toe injury.

By the numbers: Chicago holds a 5-2 record and the No. 5 seed following a 30-24 win over the New England Patriots on Oct. 22.

What to watch: The Bears approach the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline after being floated as potential defensive buyers.
