What happened: Ben Simmons made his first on-court appearance since April 2025. The veteran missed the entire 2025-26 campaign while managing physical ailments.

Why it matters: The return provides Sacramento with an experienced playmaker on a one-year contract. His active status gives the rotation additional backcourt depth as the coaching staff evaluates his conditioning.

What to watch: Sacramento will monitor his workload through the remainder of the exhibition schedule. The team continues preparations for the upcoming regular-season opener.
