What happened: The surrounding discussion centered on Houston holding Buffalo to 36 points, described there as the Bills' season low. The reaction treated that number less as a warning sign than as a punchline about Buffalo's early scoring pace.

Why it matters: Buffalo has opened 2-0, and Josh Allen's five passing touchdowns plus four rushing scores have pushed expectations skyward in a hurry. For Houston, keeping the Bills to their lowest total so far is still a useful data point, even if 36 did not feel like a quiet day.

What to watch: Buffalo's next game will show whether defenses can turn that relative slowdown into a real one.
